Faculty status: 8 full-time teachers and 9 foreign part-time professors. Among them, there are 10 professors, 4 associate professors, 3 lecturers/ postdoctors, 1 science and technology innovation leader of national “Ten Thousand Talents Plan”, 1 young scholar of the “Changjiang Scholars Award Program”, 1 winner of the “National Excellent Youth Science Fund”. 1 winner of “Youth Top Talents Support Program” and 1 winner of “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program”.
The main research direction: fluid-solid coupling dynamics; bubble dynamics; underwater, air explosion and ship damage; seabed resource detection.
The main scientific research achievements: The scientific research achievements won 1 second prize of the national scientific and technological progress, 2 first, , 4 second and 3 third prizes of the provincial and ministerial level. More than 150 SCI papers were published in journals such as Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Computational Physics, Physics of Fluids, and Ocean Engineering, among which 11 papers were highly quoted by ESI and journals. In recent years the papers have been quoted more than 1,500 times.
Exchange and cooperation: The Institute carried out in-depth cooperation with relevant experts from the Italian Institute of Marine Technology, University College London, University of Birmingham, University of Manchester, University of Strathclyde, Nantes Polytechnic University, University of Twente, Netherlands, University of California, Berkeley, Brown University, the National University of Singapore, and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. They have cooperation on publishing papers, organizing and participating in international and domestic academic conferences, and conducting academic reports.
