Faculty status: 32 full-time teachers, including 3 professors and 17 associate professors
Main research directions: The overall ship performance; fine flow field and cross-scale testing and analysis techniques; ship ice mechanics experimental test and numerical analysis technology; ship structural strength analysis and fatigue testing technology; submersible testing technology; ship intelligent design and manufacturing technology ,and deep sea engineering model test technology.
Main scientific research achievements: In the past three years, the team has undertaken 8 National Natural Science Fund projects, 1 key project of the Basic Strengthening Plan of the Military Science and Technology Commission, 1 key national defense basic scientific research project, 2 high-tech ship scientific research projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and 4 naval pre-research projects. At the same time, the team participated in more than 10 research projects in various ministries and departments. The team won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes and 1 third prize of National Defense Science and Technology Progress, and 1 third prize for technical invention of Heilongjiang Province. The team published nearly 300 papers, including nearly 100 articles indexed by SCI/EI, obtained more than 20 invention patents and more than 10 software copyrights. There are more than 40 doctoral students and more than 150 graduate students in the team.
Exchanges and cooperation: The team carried out extensive cooperation in areas of ice tank test technologies and amphibious planning craft key technologies with Russian Krylov National Science Center and Russia's Tupolev Airlines. Besides, it has deep cooperation in fields of the overall ship performance, fine flow field testing and analysis technology, structural strength analysis and fatigue testing technology, submarine testing technology of the ships with the ‘701’ Institute, the ‘702’ Institute, the ‘703’ Institute, and the ‘719’ Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and the ‘708’ Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation .
