The Port Coast Comprehensive Laboratory, established in 2005, is a 10th Five-Year Plan project of HEU for improving teaching of undergraduate programs. The laboratory is now part of the basic laboratory of mechanics affiliated to the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Ship and Ocean Engineering. The laboratory has experimental equipment such as apparatus for engineering surveying, facilities for hydraulic and soil mechanics experimentation, engineering sediment tank, wave tank for harbor engineering etc. The total assets of equipment are 1.5 million Yuan.
