The Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering was established in 2004, and approved in 2008 as the provincial experimental teaching demonstration center of Heilongjiang Province. In 2009, it became the only national-level ship and ocean engineering experimental teaching demonstration center in the field of naval architecture and ocean engineering. The center consists of a laboratory of fundamental mechanics, laboratories of naval architecture and ocean engineering (including a ship model towing tank, an engineering structure laboratory, a ship maneuvering laboratory, and comprehensive test tank), a digital shipbuilding laboratory (ship CAD/CAM Lab), and a base of science and technology innovation and practice for college students.
