
The ship CAD/CAM laboratory is a ministerial-level key laboratory, which is affiliated to the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Naval architecture and Ocean Engineering. It is a base for development research of ship CAD/CAM/CIMS technologies, and also a base of teaching and training. The laboratory is equipped with more than 200 high-performance microcomputers, 5 workstations, 4 servers, and a variety of internationally advanced software for CAD/CAM/PDM, visual reality, structural calculation, structural analysis, fluid analysis and management, such as TRIBON M1, CADDS5, CATIA.V5, VEGA, ANSYS, NASTRAN, AUTOSHIP, CFX, FLUENT, SPAR, etc. There are in total 10 rooms in the center for various uses: multimedia classrooms, graduate office, and rooms for experimentation .
