The ship maneuverability laboratory is a comprehensive laboratory of naval architecture and ocean engineering for teaching and scientific research activities. The laboratory covers an area of more than 400M2, and owning 29 sets of various instruments and equipment, and total assets of 2.25 million Yuan. The main equipment of the laboratory includes: medium-sized horizontal circular flume, vertical plane motion carrier, data acquisition and processing system. The circular flume can be used to carry out resistance, propulsion, maneuverability, and open water propeller tests; the vertical plane motion carrier can be used to measure the hydrodynamic coefficients of submersible models.
