August 17, 2017, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the funding of the proposed application of 2017. The College of Shipbuilding Engineering won 22 projects, including one key project and one international (regional) cooperation and exchange project, 12 surface projects and 8 projects of Youth Science Fund. The approved direct funding reached 15.37 million yuan. The passing rate of the proposed application and the total funding amount are the new records in the college. The number of projects, proposal passing rate and total funding all ranked the first in Harbin Engineering University.
